The platform for innovative ideas
More and more publishing houses are relying on technology-driven ideas and business models to relay their content. On 16 and 17 March exhibitors and visitors will discover 15 groundbreaking innovations for the book and media market at Neuland 2.0, the Leipzig Book Fair’s start-up village. The 15 innovative thinkers at Neuland 2.0 will be chosen by an expert jury.
Do you have an innovative product that you want to launch successfully?
With our “Neuland 2.0” project we are creating a platform for new, groundbreaking ideas and products for the book and media market. What we are offering: start-ups with innovative product ideas – and established businesses for the first time as well – have access to an inquisitive and open-minded audience; the industry obtains fresh stimulus; fair visitors get a glimpse of the future of the media world.
The application deadline is 5 November. The winners will be announced from 15 November 2017.
The public’s favourite
One Neuland resident will be awarded the public’s award for the most popular idea. The innovations can be reviewed online ahead of the Leipzig Book Fair. In addition, the public and trade visitors will be able to test and evaluate the products for themselves at Neuland 2.0 in Hall 5, on 16 and 17 March.
The public’s favourite will be announced on Saturday, 17 March at the Neuland 2.0 Forum at the book fair.
It is not only the public’s favourite but also the most promising idea that will be recognised. The jury, consisting of Martin Kurzhals (StoryDOCKS), André Nikolski (Basislager Coworking) and Eric Weber (SpinLab), will be announcing the winner of the Business award at the book fair on Friday, 16 March. The winning start-up can look forward to a prize of € 3,000.
