TRADUKI. Literature from South-East Europe
Where Words Flow. Literary Currents in Southeast Europe
In Leipzig, TRADUKI presents contemporary literature from Southeast Europe in German translation. But Southeast European authorswho write in German are not overlooked either.
The extensive programme of the TRADUKI literature and translation network will take place in 2026 under the banner Where Words Flow. Literary Currents in Southeast Europe.
At the trade fair, TRADUKI can be found in its own TRADUKI Kafana (Hall 4, D403).
Prior to the book fair, TRADUKI will cinematically explore Southeast Europe at the 8th edition of the Balkan Film Week from 9 to 12 March.
Balkan Film Week
This year’s – now already eighth – Balkan Film Week will take place from 9 to 12 March 2026.
The Balkan Film Week is part of the TRADUKI project and a cinematic introduction to the diverse literary programme at Leipzig Book Fair. As in previous years, the programme was curated by Marija Katalinić.
All film screenings will take place at the UT Connewitz. Admission is free.
